This was written to my K - 12 Google club on November 28th, 2007. Except for the illustration above that is....
Hello,
This concerns everyone in this string of discussion.
In a civilization everything rest on how it is able to transmit what it is, and what its accomblishments on to the next generation; for it takes generations to construct lasting societies. Here and only here, and at this cirical point is where teaching, and only teaching can fullfil the expectation of the generational transmission of a
civilization; the central professional expectation of ech teacher.
Right now, and in your class tomorrow and all the rest of your classroom work, you will notice a change in your students. It is here where things should be as values in becoming a teacher, as well as a teacher's will to meet the present challenge.
What is now!
In the past decades several distinct difference has emerged within the growing rifts in the socio-economic classes of the United States, and how this has differentiated the talent base of all incoming students. This solely revolves the inclusion of Internet connection into the home. Thus incoming students who do not have home access to this
technology has several limitations [ in both skill grades in use of technologies, and the unknown lost of their potential intellegence as a result of lost experience of stimulation of the neuro cortext which deal with both imagination and intellegence stimulations when compared ] to those who do have access.
Here, and the key factor why this included within this discussion string, is that we are looking at a society which could permantely differentiate itself along socio - economic classes further, and from which the resulting American civilization could likewise start to breakdown in meeting its further expectations of technological growth
in International competition of advance manufator goods and high priced technology.

" It is here where teaching, and teachers are the primary alert and community advocates to prevent, and for one additional factor which is not common knowledge among teachers. At home, those who have access to internet start around the age of 3 years old. The way in which the lights and illustrations on the computer screen within this
group and older have faster page and information changes from one site to another than their parents haver serveral neurological impact on their behavior. Eye motion, along with faster clicks of the mouse is ever apparent, and the stimulation by one Cornell University researcher has stated is still not known as there are parts of neuro-
structures which are still unknown to science as their function which are being now within this generation now being stimulated. Moreover, the impact on the development of children who have access has become more sohphisticated in how they are able to rapid'ly organization abstract thought. And it is here where there are differences in how abstract thought and how it is being organized which creates their abilities to organize their own personalities-often faster than what is normally expected by parents. "
In turn, both private and public education is not prepared has both are still following behavioral tracks and reports which emerges out of the 1960s and 1970s, and institutions like Buffalo State College has since this era have not changed on how they teach their students teach since.
And this is most apparent with this group K - 12. IE the attempt to discuss Intercultural Communications, discovery techniques, and using Arab - Israeli Reconciliation as a central motif in which to focus this innovation - just now being implemented by several institutions of higher education. Really!

The real concern is not only how this causing differentiation within the make up of the classroom, but in the loss of the greater potential it further entails.
Why?
An incoming student with this modified personality trait, and behavioral impact upon their intellengence has demanded more rapid exchange of information right there in the classroom by this group, or in many instances may be confined to one student, over the others in the classroom. Yet, this is only on the surface. The actual
language being used may have flaws in as much as it is based upon language skills of the 60s and 70s when it was the national standard for teachers, when teachers. now, need a modified languages of the
21st century; this the greater unkown.
Yet with the growing socio-economic rift becoming even more apparent, and additional anxieties which are ahead of the American civilization. many students on both sides are going to lose out, and it is here
where we must make out stand.
Please take this view into the very perception of your classroom, and reallt take a deeper prob into your students and see as well as ask about the impact of having access compared to those who do not.
What you should acknowledge in the meantime is that all this is still very new, and something which is very little understood by the present Universities and Colleges who are turining out degreed teachers.
Moreover, and because of the issues lightly touched upon here an others, let turn this group in wanting to discover.
Yours,
RMC
